January 5, 2026 Update: Maximum Rebate Amounts Increased by $250

In addition to extending the standalone attic rebate path of the Home Renovation Savings program through the end of November 2026, Enbridge Gas has announced new, higher maximum rebate amounts.

As of January 5, 2026, the maximum rebate amounts for all tiers of the standalone attic rebate path have been increased by $250. This means the new maximum rebate amount for a standard attic upgrade has been increased to $1,250, and the new maximum rebate amount of a cathedral ceiling or flat roof insulation upgrade has increased to $750.

Standalone Attic Insulation Rebate

Available as part of the Home Renovation Savings Program, this newly launched rebate (as of August 2025) makes attic insulation upgrades easier than ever.

Ontario homeowners can take advantage of this simplified incentive through the Attic Rebate Program, part of the Home Renovation Savings initiative offered by Save on Energy and Enbridge Gas.

This single-measure rebate is designed to streamline the upgrade process, making it faster and more affordable. As a participating contractor, Polar Bear Spray Foam Inc. manages all required program paperwork, making the process simple: confirm your eligibility, complete your attic insulation upgrade, and receive your rebate cheque by mail.

Who's Eligible for the New Attic Insulation Rebate?

You can be eligible for the new attic insulation rebate offered by Enbridge Gas and Save on Energy if you are an Ontario homeowner and:

You own a single-detached, semi-detached, row house, townhome (non-stacked), or mobile home on a permanent foundation.
Your home is heated with natural gas supplied by Enbridge Gas through a furnace or boiler. Alternatively, your home is heated by electricity, oil, wood, or propane, and you have an account with a local electric utility connected to the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO), with the exception of Cornwall Electric.
Your attic insulation is R-35 or less, and you plan to upgrade 100% of the accessible attic space.
