The Home Renovations Saving Program, introduced in January 2025, is a new initiative designed to support Ontario homeowners in making energy-efficient home upgrades. Ontario homeowners can receive rebates covering up to 30% of the cost of eligible home upgrades, including insulation (attic, wall, and basement).
Eligibility Criteria:
- Homeowners in Ontario who heat their home with electricity, natural gas, or primarily heat with oil, wood, or propane are eligible.
- Eligible housing types include single detached or semi-detached homes, row/townhomes, and mobile homes on a permanent foundation
- Pre and post-energy assessments are required by an Energy Auditor prior to the start of any eligible upgrades
- Complete 2 eligible upgrades.
- All upgrades must be completed by a qualified professional and meet program criteria to be eligible for rebates.
